Waterproof safety boots and work boots at Shuperb

Shop waterproof safety boots, waterproof work boots, safety trainers, safety wellingtons and waders at Shuperb, an official authorised UK stockist of every brand we sell. Every style here has a protective toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345 and has been checked as waterproof, so feet stay dry on wet sites, in the field and through a British winter. Choose from Amblers Safety, Himalayan, Apache, Timberland Pro, CAT, Dewalt, Dunlop, Grafters, Unbreakable, Magnum and Skechers Work. Only styles in stock are shown.

Waterproof or water resistant: what is the difference?

Not every safety boot that copes with wet weather is waterproof. Under EN ISO 20345, an S3 rating means the upper resists water penetration and absorption, marked WPA or WRU, but it does not test the whole boot. A boot with the WR marking has passed a water resistance test on the complete boot, and many waterproof boots also use a waterproof, breathable membrane inside, such as Sympatex on selected Himalayan styles or HydroGuard on the Dewalt Springfield. Rubber and PVC safety wellingtons are waterproof by construction. Every style in this collection has been checked as waterproof through the WR marking, a waterproof membrane, the brand's own description or, for wellingtons and waders, the way it is made.

Steel toe and composite toe waterproof safety boots

Choose waterproof steel toe cap boots, composite toe cap boots or alloy and aluminium toe cap styles. Every toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345 is tested to withstand an impact of 200 joules and a compression of 15 kilonewtons, whatever it is made of. Composite toe caps are made without metal and are usually lighter, and many of our waterproof safety boots are fully metal free.

Shop waterproof safety footwear by style

  • Waterproof safety boots: lace-up ankle boots, hiker boots, hi-leg boots and side zip styles for construction, groundworks and site work.
  • Waterproof rigger and dealer boots: pull-on safety boots for farms, yards, agriculture and utilities.
  • Waterproof safety trainers and shoes: a lighter option for warehouse doors, loading bays and outdoor deliveries.
  • Safety wellingtons and waders: fully waterproof rubber and PVC styles with steel toe caps, including insulated wellingtons and wellingtons made for food processing.

Insulated and winter waterproof safety boots

For cold weather, selected styles are cold insulated (marked CI) or have a Thinsulate lining, and insulated Dunlop Purofort safety wellingtons help keep feet warm in cold stores, farms and outdoor work. Many styles also have a heat resistant sole (HRO) and every style has a slip resistant sole.

Why dry, safe feet matter at work

Slips, trips and falls on the same level are the most common cause of non-fatal workplace injury reported by employers in Great Britain, making up 30% of reported injuries to employees in 2024/25, according to the HSE. Waterproof safety footwear with a slip resistant sole helps keep people safe and comfortable on wet ground, and dry feet make a long shift outdoors far easier to get through.

Men's, women's and wide fit

Most styles are men's or unisex, with women's waterproof safety boots from Amblers Safety and Timberland Pro, and super wide fit waterproof safety boots from Grafters. Each product page shows the sizes in stock, the toe cap, the safety rating and the standard.

Delivery and returns

Most of our waterproof safety footwear is held in our own UK warehouse and is dispatched the same day on orders placed before 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Waterproof Safety Boots FAQs

Are S3 safety boots waterproof?

Not necessarily. Under EN ISO 20345, an S3 rating means the upper resists water penetration and absorption, but it does not test the whole boot. For a fully waterproof safety boot, look for the WR marking, which means the complete boot has passed a water resistance test, or a waterproof membrane. Every style in Shuperb's waterproof safety boots collection has been checked as waterproof.

What is the difference between waterproof and water resistant safety boots?

Water resistant safety boots, marked WPA or WRU, have an upper that resists water for a time, which suits damp conditions and light rain. Waterproof safety boots keep water out completely, usually through a waterproof membrane inside the boot or a WR marking on the whole boot, and rubber or PVC safety wellingtons are waterproof by construction. Choose waterproof for standing water, mud, wet grass and long days outdoors.

Are waterproof steel toe boots or composite toe boots better?

Both give the same certified toe protection. Every toe cap certified to EN ISO 20345 must withstand an impact of 200 joules and a compression of 15 kilonewtons. Steel toe caps are the traditional choice, while composite toe caps are made without metal and are usually lighter, which many people prefer for long days outdoors. Shuperb stocks waterproof safety boots with steel, composite, alloy and aluminium toe caps.

Which waterproof safety boots are best for cold weather?

For winter work, choose waterproof safety boots that are cold insulated, marked CI, or lined with Thinsulate, or insulated safety wellingtons such as Dunlop Purofort for cold stores, farms and outdoor work. A slip resistant sole is just as important on wet and icy ground, and every style in Shuperb's waterproof safety collection has one.
