Our Women's Workwear Essentials collection brings together protective, comfortable footwear for every working day: certified safety boots, lightweight safety trainers, slip-resistant work shoes and occupational styles. We stock trusted brands including Amblers Safety, Grafters, Skechers Work, Apache, Dr Martens, Magnum and Helly Hansen, with many styles available in wide fittings.

Choose safety footwear certified to EN ISO 20345, with steel or composite toe caps, for warehouses, construction and industrial sites: S1P for dry indoor work and S3 for outdoor and wet conditions. For healthcare, hospitality and retail, our occupational footwear gives you slip-resistant soles and memory foam cushioning for long shifts, without a toe cap.

Shop women's safety boots, safety trainers, safety shoes, occupational boots or workwear sandals. Complete your kit with work trousers and work jackets, or browse the full Workwear Essentials range.

Women's Workwear FAQs

What do the slip resistance markings SRA, SRB and SRC mean?

Under EN ISO 20345:2011, SRA means the sole has been tested on a ceramic tile with soapy water, SRB on a steel floor with glycerol, and SRC means it has passed both tests. Under the newer 2022 version of the standard, slip resistance on tile is required for all safety footwear, and an SR marking shows it has also passed a tougher test on tile with glycerol. If you work on wet or greasy floors, look for SRC or SR.

Do you stock wide fit women's work footwear?

Yes. A selection of our women's safety boots, safety trainers and work shoes come in wide fittings, giving more room across the forefoot and toe cap. Use the Wide filter on this page to see them. A good fit matters even more in safety footwear, because your toes should never press against the toe cap.

What work footwear is best for healthcare and hospitality?

Most healthcare, hospitality and catering roles call for slip-resistant occupational footwear rather than a toe cap. Look for enclosed, easy-clean styles with cushioned footbeds such as memory foam for long shifts on your feet. Brands like Skechers Work, Crocs At Work and Birkenstock Professional are designed with these workplaces in mind.

Can I wear safety sandals or clogs at work?

Safety sandals have a certified toe cap, but their open design is not suitable where there is a risk of falling objects, sharp debris, chemicals or wet floors, so many sites require fully enclosed footwear. Occupational clogs are popular in kitchens and healthcare for their slip resistance and easy cleaning. Always check your employer's risk assessment or footwear policy before you buy.
